The Harriet W. Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning

Fellowships and Awards

The Sheridan Center offers regular fellowship opportunities for faculty to engage in teaching-focused peer learning communities. We also collaborate with the university to recognize teaching accomplishments by faculty and graduate students at the University Awards ceremony held annually in the spring.

The Sheridan Junior Faculty Teaching Fellows program is a yearlong, cohort-based learning community that provides the opportunity for a small group of junior faculty from across the disciplines to come together to reflect upon and discuss their teaching and their students’ learning with Sheridan staff.
The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce a call for faculty to serve as Provost’s Faculty Teaching Fellows in the Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning. This new program seeks to build a cohort of senior faculty who will enhance the culture of teaching and learning at Brown. This is a two-year role, with the option to continue in a mentorship role in the third year.
The University recognizes the achievements of its faculty and graduate students each year at the University Awards Ceremony.
