Bridge Scholars Program

Brown University's Bridge Scholars Program (BSP) is a for-credit academic experience focused on leadership development for incoming first-generation college students.

Over the course of 6 weeks, scholars have a chance to experience academic life at Brown before the fall semester begins through hybrid course work. Scholars earn one full academic credit through two seminar-styled courses that focus on intercultural competence for leadership and taking ownership of one’s education and personal growth. In addition, the program fosters a supportive peer community, connections with faculty and staff, and familiarity with campus resources.
