By becoming a member of the CIRTL Network, Brown University graduate students and postdocs gain access to a wide range of resources, including professional development programs, teaching workshops, and learning communities dedicated to improving undergraduate education, in addition to receiving formal recognition for your participation in network activities.

The CIRTL program is open to any graduate student, postdoc, and faculty member interested in professional development. Once you complete the interest form, you will be added to a Canvas course for announcement of CIRTL events, programs, and opportunities.
You have the opportunity to participate in single programs or semester-long courses. Your participation will be tracked in order for you to be given a certificate for completing portions of the CIRTL program. Unlike the Sheridan Teaching Seminar, Course Design Seminar and Teaching Consultant Seminar, CIRTL certificates are not transcripted.
All workshops and programs are offered virtually, with many in an asynchronous format. All events require pre-registration. In addition, there will be some opportunities to engage with Brown’s local learning community.
