Writing Fellows Outreach
Outreach
This academic year, the Writing Fellows Program is implementing several measures to increase outreach.
- Professional Development: The DIOC will be holding a Professional Development workshop for all fellows on centering diversity and inclusivity in our fellowing practices. Following each fellowing cycle, Head Fellows will hold a workshop on centering diverse and inclusive writing practices in the context of the specific class and assignments. Outreach doesn't just mean recruiting new fellows; it also entails how we interact with our fellowees and continuously reflecting on centering diversity and inclusivity in these interactions.
- Affinity Space Visits: In the spring, the DIOC will be reaching out to different affinity groups to offer to give a 10-minute presentation on what the Writing Fellows Program is and how to get involved. Feel free to email indigo_mudbhary@brown.edu if you would be interested in this.
