Prior to joining the Sheridan Center, Jenna was an Assistant Professor of Humanities at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where she also served as the Writing Program Administrator and Writing Across the Curriculum Director. As a graduate student, she helped launch and assess SciWrite@URI, an NSF-funded program to help graduate students in the sciences navigate the invisible conventions of academic and public scientific communication. Jenna has taught diverse groups of students at several higher education institutions including Fisher College, Johnson & Wales University, University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, and Brown University.
Jenna received a Ph.D. in English from the University of Rhode Island, a M.A. in Creative Writing from Brunel University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Goucher College.
